Since Side 7’s inception, adding new weapon and mobile suit skins has been limited by the unknown constraints of reverse engineering Gundam Evolution. Without the game’s source code, our team relies on guesswork from compiled files and Unreal Engine knowledge—a difficult and time-intensive process. Because our team is volunteer-based, we focused on reintroducing casuals rather than pursuing custom skins research.

**However**, many of you noticed yesterday’s April Fools weapon skin, which didn’t replace an existing entry but instead introduced a completely new one. This wasn’t just a prank—it demonstrated our monumental breakthrough: **server-side skins are now functional**.

Huge thanks to both @moekumo and @mclyntree for their incredible work and dedication. To celebrate, we’ve added three new mobile suit skins (for Barbatos, Asshimar, and Unicorn). Developers will have immediate access, so you may see them in action soon. We’ll also be giving everyone a one-time Capital Points drop on April 11th-18th to grab a new skin. Going forward, you can earn additional Capital Points by playing Casual Matches (details below).

We didn’t plan to have custom skins ready for Casuals, but our reverse engineering efforts accidentally led to this breakthrough. As a result, we’re delaying Casuals until the end of the month to give the community enough time to finalize new skin submissions and refine our launch plan with these new skins included.
