Casuals update
We unable to make our forecasted target of November for casuals matchmaking. However, rest assured, we've continued to make considerable progress in this space and we will share additional details in the next few days.
Team Changes
I'm very pleased to announce today that we are welcoming our new Community Director, Charbrose! (Discord: @charbrose)
Many of you know Charbrose as our resident Tech MVP. He ensures that our new players can navigate the setup process and join us in-game.
Charbrose has been going above and beyond for some time now, ensuring not only that new players find their way in-game, but also that existing players enjoy Side 7 to its fullest.
Charbrose has already been acting in this capacity, and it is my honor to formally recognize in this new role!

What’s a community director do?
The Community Director oversees all aspects of the Side 7 community. From organizing events to onboarding new players, Side 7's Community Director works to ensure that our Ambassadors, Event Hosts, and Community Advocates are empowered to provide the best experience Side 7 can be. If you have a question or an idea for something you'd like to see here at Side 7 and aren't sure how to ask, @Charbrose is your go-to for all things Side 7, and he'll either answer your question or connect you with the right person.

For those of you who have been with Side 7 since our earliest days, you'll remember our friend baron (Discord: @baron). For those unfamiliar, baron was our first Community Director at Side 7. During Side 7's earliest days, I focused primarily on working with our development team to build out Side 7's prototype API and game servers. With such a full-time endeavor, I needed someone dedicated to growing a community and recruiting testers in anticipation of our release. Baron laid the groundwork for a growing community and recruited well over 3,000 eager pilots ready to go by launch day. Without baron, we might not all be here today.
Baron has chosen to focus on personal matters at this time and will be stepping down to welcome Charbrose as our new Community Director.
custom match rewards
Players will now receive Material Points (MP) for participating in custom matches. These Material Points can be used to purchase in-game, community-contributed cosmetics!
All participants in a custom match lobby will be rewarded Material Points, including spectators and coaches. The amount of Material Points rewarded is based on the number of spacenoid and earthnoid players, capping the rewards per match at 12.
Players will be able to redeem their Material Points from the Present Box following the end of a match.
A one-time Present Box gift has been sent to all players for all historical matches played to date.

In celebration of this release, Side 7 has created new content to commemorate this milestone!
Players will find not one, not two, but a total of twenty-nine stamps, player icons, and portraits in celebration of this release!
Players may purchase cosmetics in-game using Material Points earned from custom matches. Cosmetics can also be unlocked via supply pods (more information below).

Coinciding with the Bad Haro!! celebration, supply pods have been implemented in Side 7. A single supply pod is available at this time and contains all 29 Bad Haro!! cosmetics. All existing Side 7 members will receive 5 Supply Pod tickets to celebrate this release.
Can we buy supply pod tickets with real money?
No. Side 7 is committed to never accepting real money in exchange for our project. Receiving any money in exchange for Side 7 services is a violation of our Terms of Use.
Supply pods are meant to be a fun in-game experience for players and to encourage participation. There are no current or future plans to monetize supply pods.
How can we earn supply pod tickets?
Players will receive one Supply Pod ticket per day as a daily login reward starting today.
